Laser Lipolysis with Lipotherme offers:
- Minimally invasive vs. traditional liposuction
- Faster procedure to have performed, usually as an “in office” procedure
- Minimal Healing – less destruction to blood vessels and tissues near the fat cells means less blood loss and reduced post procedure downtime.
- Minimal Discomfort and typically performed under Local AnesethiaThe clinical term for this type of procedure is laser-assisted lipolysis (also called laser lipolysis or laser lipo for short) which is an evolution of traditional liposuction. Although effective, traditional liposuction is considered a highly invasive procedure. By contrast, Lipotherme laser lipolysis is a minimally-invasive procedure with virtually no downtime. Most patients resume normal activities the day after their procedure, however, it is recommended you wait several days before resuming strenuous activity such as exercising. Depending on your goals and physical condition, Lipotherme can be an alternative to traditional liposuction, or your doctor may recommend a combination therapy of Lipotherme with traditional liposuction.

OSYRIS Lipotherme Device Benefits:
* Lipotherme is a safe, effective, minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser to liquefy and remove unwanted fat in targeted body zones. In addition to removing unwanted fat, Lipotherme’s thermal effect causes the skin to contract, resulting in firmer, smoother skin that further enhances your body shaping goals.
* The Lipotherme continuous wave diode laser operates with a unique 980 nm source filter that emits from one to 25 watts of power in a continuous wave, unlike the Nd:YAG lasers, which emit pulsed waves.
* The power is variable so that physicians can customize the treatment for each patient and body area. For example, 6 W may be appropriate for the chin, arms, and knees, while 15 W may be appropriate for the thighs, hips, and buttocks.
OSYRIS Lipotherme Pharaon 980 Laser – Diode
Exotherme is a transcutaneous vascular laser, dedicated to spider veins and telangiectasias, up to 2mm of diameter, for a safe, efficient and painless treatment.
Principle
The principle of the Exotherme laser is based on the thermal action of the laser. The transcutaneous irradiation (with a penetration of 1 to 2 mm in the tissue) causes tissue selective absorption by hemeglobin (hemoglobin is the main target of the laser).
The effect of selective photocoagulation is based on two effects:
Conversion of light energy into heat,
Coagulation of the vascular wall with collagen denaturation.
Selective photocoagulation does not cause purpura (contrary to photothermolysis).
The superficial vessels, from 0.2 to 2 mm of diameter.
Spider veins
Telangectasias
Exotherme is cleared on the US market for the photocoaguation of leg telangiecatasias.
